My daughter Lisa Apatini, a native of New York City, discovered her passion for yoga at the age of 14, immersing herself in the practice at various studios across the boroughs. It was in 2005, following a heartfelt recommendation from a close friend, that she found her way to the renowned Jivamukti Yoga School located in Union Square. This introduction proved to be a transformative moment, shaping her yogic journey.
In 2015, Lisa embarked on the 800-hour Jivamukti Teacher Apprenticeship Program, led by the esteemed Rima Rani Rabbath. With dedication and perseverance, she successfully completed the program, solidifying her knowledge and expertise in the Jivamukti method.
From a young age, Lisa’s life has been intertwined with music and performance. As a professional vocalist and performer, she has always found solace and inspiration in the healing power of sound. This deep connection with music continues to fuel her creative spirit and serves as an integral part of her yoga classes. During her sessions, Lisa often incorporates live chanting and devotional music, offering a unique experience of harmony and tranquility to her students, especially during final relaxation.
In addition to her yoga and musical endeavors, Lisa developed a profound fascination with the circus arts. In 2009, she ventured into the world of aerial silks, embracing the grace and strength required to perform captivating aerial routines.
Lisa’s journey is one of exploration, self-expression, and a relentless pursuit of holistic well-being. Through her teachings, she weaves together the transformative power of yoga, the healing resonance of music, and the awe-inspiring grace of aerial arts, creating an immersive experience for her students.
